Described and illustrated in the Patrimoine des communes... l'Essonne (2002, v. 1: 39) as a an oval mounted baptismal font made of reddish marble; the rather shallow basin is ornamented with a thick roll moulding at the rim; the stem of the base is of the baluster-type, ornamented with ribbed pattern; the lower base is circular. According to the same source, it was donated to the parish church by M. Louis du Fossé, director of the hydraulic installation "La Samaritaine". Flat metal cover. The two large holy-water stoups located at the pillars of the entrance are believed to have come from the same source [cf. Index entries for Arpajon Nos. 2, 3] [Flohic ref.: 91010110]
