Palissy [ref.: PM17001295] reports a holy-water stoup here "orné de quatre têtes d'anges et guirlandes en bas-relief" and dated 18th-century. This is probably the same object described and illustrated in Patrimoine des communes... Charente-Maritime (2002, t. 2: 594) as a limestone baptismal font of the 12th century; the square basin is ornamented with a large head at each angle; the inside of the basin is round; the hemispherical underbowl has thin mouldings; the slender pedestal base is plain and rounded but ends in a square lower base. The heads are described as angel heads also in "Églises & abbayes de la Saintonge romane". [NB: we have no information on the original font of the 12th-century church here].
