The entry for this church in Patrimonio Galego [http://patrimoniogalego.net/index.php/94234/2017/04/igrexa-de-santa-baia-de-logrosa/] reports "No adro da igrexa hai unha pía bautismal datada nos séculos X-XI" and has a photograph of the object. The web site of the Concello de Negreira [http://www.concellodenegreira.gal/index.php/gl/turismo/que-ver/patrimonio?id=149] [accessed 6 May 2018] gives the same date and mentions incisions and carvings on the font: "pía bautismal que data dos séculos X-XI que caracterízase tanto polos temas dos seus gravados, uns debuxos con formas de animais, como pola técnica utilizada para a súa realización, a de reserva mediante cicel." The font consists of a roughly hemisperical basin mounted on a moulded pedestal base and a round plinth; the basin is particularly weathered and the upper rim appears damaged; the basin is covered in moss and lichens so it is imposible from the sources at our disposal to ascertain whether there is any detail on the outer sides other than crude ribes on the basin, and a roll moulding and a scalloped pattern on the base; the base appears in better shape and it is probably late-medieval; is it a composite font?
