The present font here consists of a round, not quite hemispherical basin profusely decorated on the outside with linked beaded-tape hearts with grape and/or pine fruit in them; the underbowl spaces below are filled with foliage; raised on a cylindrical pedestal decorated with torsade pattern, and a round-to-square lower base decorated with roll mouldings atop, and a folding leaf at each corner. No cover present, nor is there any evidence of anchorings for it on the upper rim of the basin [NB: the lower base could be earlier than the rest of the font]. The earlier font of this church is mentioned in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/alava_URTURI.pdf] [accessed 3 August 2024] which informs that a the present font replaced an earlier one here: "Hoy la copa y el pie han sido sustituidos por otros que se apoyan en la base cuadrada, realizado todo ello con posterioridad." [NB: cf. BSI entry for Urturi No. 1 for the earlier font here]
