Described in Bilbao (1994: 133) as a plain baptismal font of the medieval period. Bilbao (ibid.) cites an entry in López de Guereñu. The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del romanico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/alava_URBINA.pdf] [accessed 15 May 2024] reports a medieval font consisting of a hemisperical basin on pedestal base made up of five constructional columns with bases; the source further questions whether it came originally from a nearby chapel or abandoned place ["iglesia realizada a finales del siglo xv y principios del xvi que sólo conserva de su pasado medieval la pila bautismal. The font is shown in López de Guereñu's photograph [cf. supra] without a lower base, which was probably buried in the flooring at the time, whereas the later photograph in the Enciclopedia... [cf. supra] shows the square lower base with decorations. The font has no cover now but it retains two metal staples in the upper rim basin from a former cover.
