Font Notes:
Widdrington (1842-1844) mentions a font "placed on a lateral building" in this church, but gives no details of the font. Baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a modern pedestal base; the basin is decorated with a double roll moulding at the upper rim side; below these is a blank arcade of round arches; below the arcade, around the underbowl, a series of mouldings creating a graded chamfer. The basin has been reconstructed from the original fragments, but a significant part is new stone; the base is entirely modern. This font and the font at Betanzos [cf. Index entry] were both reconstructed under the sponsorship of the current [2005] parish priest of this church.
