In Portilla Vitoria (1983). Described and illustrated in Bilbao (1994) as a medieval baptismal font of the early 13th century; the basin is ornamented with a series of motifs arranged in bands: arcades of intersecting arches, zigzag, rosettes, etc.; the quadrangular base is made of twelve constructional columns, three of which are decorated with a triangular pattern simulating scales; the lower base is square, decorated with intersecting arches. Bilbao (ibid.) notes similar fonts at Onraita and Róitegui. Noted in Plazaola Artola (2008?). Although the font does not have a cover at present [October 2009], the sides of the upper rim of the basin show the damage where the metal staples of the old cover were [NB: the old cover shows in the ca. 1940-1960 photograph by López de Guereñu].
