Noted in Portilla Vitoria (1983) as a baptismal font in this locality. Described and illustrated in Bilbao (1994). The font consists of a round basin of large and irregular proportions; the basin sides are decorated with a variety of symbols and motifs: orant human figure, fish, circled crosses (?) and floral motifs, concentric circles, etc.; the lower side of the basin has a row of ball motif, some of which are perforated; the underbowl is decorated with incised linked scrolls and concentric circles; raised on a short quadrangular pedestal base the sides of which are decorated with a set of five ball motifs arranged in a Greek-cross shape and inscribed in a circle, a floral motif inscribed in a circle, etc.; the sides of the low end of the base are decorated with petal shapes arranged in circles; there are traces of bluish paint on the sides and some of the motifs of the base are painted in red-pink colours. Bilbao (ibid.) suggests the paint may well be original [NB: some of the paint may be original but there is repainting on it]. An iron staple from the old cover is still fastened to the upper rim of the basin. The workmanship on this font is crude, probably the work of a local low-skilled mason or workshop. There is plain roughly hemispherical holy-water stoup inside the church, by the entranceway; it may be late medieval.
