Baptismal font listed and illustrated in López de Guereñu [https://photo.araba.eus/s/photoaraba/item/66035] [accessed 29 July 2024]: "Pila bautismal de la iglesia de San Miguel de Meana. Vista frontal de una pila bautismal de estilo románico; presenta pie sencillo y copa sin decoración". Described in Bilbao (1994: 125) as a plain medieval baptismal font. Bilbao (ibid.) cites an entry in the Catálogo Monumental de la Diócesis de Vitoria. The font consists of a plain hemispherical basin raised on a moulded quadrangular base; it may be a composite. No cover present but one metal staple from a cover anchoring remains in the upper rim.
