Described and illustrated in Bilbao (1994) as a medieval baptismal font, one of the oldest in the division of Treviño; the basin is hemispherical and plain; the base is quadrangular, all sides ornamented with the symbols of the four Evangelists. Bilbao (ibid.) cites entries in the Catálogo Monumental de la Diócesis de Vitoria and in López de Guereñu. Listed in Arriola Loyola (1996: 138) as a medieval baptismal font ornamented with archaic low-relief motifs.
