Baptismal font listed and illustrated in López de Guereñu [https://photo.araba.eus/s/photoaraba/item/66026] [accessed 29 July 2024]: "Pila bautismal de la iglesia de San Martín de Jugo. Vista frontal de una pila bautismal de estilo románico; el fuste presenta cuatro columnas adosadas y la taza no muestra ningún motivo decorativo especial". Described in Bilbao (1994: 121) as a plain medieval baptismal font. Bilbao (ibid.) cites an entry in López de Guereñu. Described and illustrated in the entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/alava_JUGO.pdf] [accessed 29 July 2024]: "La pila bautismal se sitúa frente a la puerta, en un nicho del siglo xvi. Es una pieza medieval con la copa semiesférica lisa y el pie cilíndrico, con cuatro columnillas adosadas. Se apoya en una basa cuadrada con decoración de garras y unas molduras circulares hacia el pie." [NB: the lower base is not visible in the López de Guereñu photograph, but it shows a wooden cover on it].
