Described and illustrated in Bilbao (1994) as a Gothic baptismal font; the hemispheric basin has a blind arcade of round arches supported on inverted fleur de lis around the upper part; a similar arcade projects up from the underbowl, the arches upside down and the floral motifs therefore upright; between these two arcades, the basin displays several large symbols/motifs: two eight-point stars; an eight-leaf rosette; a six-leaf rosette in a circle; a tracery motif that includes a Gothic three-arm "S" surrounded by interlace; Ogee arch with tracery; two castles. Bilbao (1994) describes the Ogee motif as a tree-top containing a three-arm swastica and Runic filigree work ["la esvástica de tres brazos, ahora inscrita en lo que parece ser la copa de un árbol, y rodeada de filigranas rúnicas"]; her identification of the previous motif includes also the swastica. The base is quadrangular, with buttressed corners, and multiple moldings. Bilbao (ibid.) cites an entry in the Catálogo Monumental de la Diócesis de Vitoria. The basin is decorated below the upper rim with an arcade of round arch-heads that have inverted lillies instead of columns; the underbowl has upright lillies as well as a variety of motifs noted in some of the sources above. [NB: a second photograph of another font(?) in the same church is illustrated in López de Guereñu [https://photo.araba.eus/s/photoaraba/item/65999] [accessed 25 July 2024] with the follo2wing description: "Vista frontal de una pila bautismal de estilo barroco; sobre un friso decorado con elementos arquitectónicos, dos ángeles orantes con sus alas desplegadas que sujetan una pila bautismal decorada con elementos vegetales"; Pila bautismal de la iglesia de San Cristóbal de Heredia".
