Described in Bilbao (1994: 118) as a plain medieval baptismal font. Bilbao (ibid.) cites an entry in López de Guereñu. The font of stone is located in its enclosed chapel beneath the west gallery; it consists of a roughly-hemispherical basin of late-Gothic appearance [16thC?]; the inner well of the basin has been divided into two sections, surely a later modification; there are metal staple from an old cover but none is present now; it is raised on a pedestal base of clustered columns with capitals and bases; the bases are just moulded but each capital has a human head or mask surrounded by foliage, all very battered.
