Described and illustrated in Bilbao (1994) as a Romanesque baptismal font with a plain basin, the base is ornamented with checkered pattern over which appears a stylised rosette; the lower base has also checkered pattern. Bilbao (ibid.) cites entries in the Catálogo Monumental de la Diócesis de Vitoria and in López de Guereñu. The font was drastically re-tooled, previous to Bilbao's visit [ca. 1994?], as the font appears already 'cleaned up' in her illustration; the basin is hemispherical and plain, and has had some repairs done around the sides and upper rim; it may have a plugged hole in the rim, and the other damage would suggest the presence of anchorage points for an old cover; it is the base, however, that has been subjected to a drastic re-tooling; it is nonetheless an interesting an rather uncommon decoration, a combination of chequered pattern and mouldings, with a geometrical six-petal flower in its front [now facing west]. There is no cover present; the font is now located at the east end, in the chancel, to the right, south side, of the altar.
