Described in Bilbao (1994) as a plain medieval baptismal font. Bilbao (ibid.) cites entry in the Catálogo Monumental de la Diócesis de Vitoria and in López de Guereñu. [NB: Bilbao (ibid.) reports that this font was in the church of San Pablo, in Vitoria, ca. 1994; it was photographed for BSI on 17 August 2011 at the Iglesia de Santa Columba in Argandoña]. The font consists of a battered and painted hemispherical basin raised on a pedestal made of a central shaft with attached oter colonnettes, also painted; the upper rim of the basin shows traces of an old cover hardware. The font may be a composite object, as it is not clear the pedestal base and the basin belonged originally together.
