Baptismal font listed and illustrated in López de Guereñu [https://photo.araba.eus/s/photoaraba/item/66039] [accessed 9 August 2024]: "Pila bautismal de la iglesia de San Pedro de Aránguiz [...] pila medieval; presenta taza lisa, cuatro columnas en el pie y basa cruciforme con relieves en los ángulos". Described in Bilbao (1994: 109) as a medieval baptismal font with a plain basin mounted on a base of constructional columns and a cruciform lower base with reliefs at the angles. Bilbao (ibid.) cites entry in the Catálogo Monumental de la Diócesis de Vitoria and in López de Guereñu. The entry for this church in the the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/alava_ARÁNGUIZ_ARANGIZ.pdf] [accessed 25 June 2024] reports a medieval baptismal font in the present church otiginally from the earlier, Romanesque church here: "La pila bautismal es de época medieval. Tiene la copa semiesférica, lisa, y se apoya sobre un núcleo centrar circular al que se adosan cuatro columnas, dando una forma cruciforme a la base que lleva relieves en los ángulos." [NB: by the looks of the basin it is quite likely that it is of a later date than the base, making the font a composite object]
