Church Notes: formerly a chapel-of-ease to Petworth parish but known to have had baptisms and burials in it [source: The Gentleman's Magazine, and Historical Chronicle, Volume 103, Part 2 (1833: 317)]
Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a square Restoration baptismal font dated 1662 and made of local Petworth marble. Harrison (1920) gives the same date, obviously from an inscription on it.
