This Wolverton appears on folio 243r Great Domesday Book [http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D7308729#imageViewerLink] [accessed 27 November 2014]. A font in the church here is listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Perpendicular period. The Victoria County History (Warwick, 1945) notes: "The parish church of St. Mary [...] was built in the second half of the 13th century [...] The font is of the 15th century: the bowl is octagonal, hollowed on the upper edge and moulded below, and panelled in each face with a quatrefoiled circle in a square; the stem has a moulded capping and the chamfered square base has broach stops to its sides." English Heritage [Listing NGR: SP2062162333] (1967) notes: "Church. Origins of 1208, with later additions and alterations [...] Octagonal font on octagonal plinth has quatrefoil decoration." [NB: we have no information on the font of the original church here].
