Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Perpendicular period. Ditto in Harrison (1920). Noted and illustrated in the Roughwood British Churches Album [http://www.roughwood.net/ChurchAlbum/EastSussex/Beddingham/BeddinghamStAndrew2004.htm] [accessed 20 February 2010]. Font of a late-medieval type common in the area, consisting of a plain square basin raised on a broad square pedetals that has hinted angle colonnettes, with cinquefoil arches or windows between them; on a plain splaying lower base, also square. The wooden cover is square and flat, with metal decoration and handle; modern?
