Palol (1961: 25-26) reported at the time of his initial excavation [i.e., 1950s] that a small water conduit had been found, which led the archaeologists suspect the existence of a baptistery in this site. Later sources identify a sunken baptismal font of the late 5th or early 6th century; monolithic and shaped like a four-point star [source: www.balearescultural.com]
