Site discovered in 1912 by Joan Aguiló Pinya. Described and illustrated in Palol (1967) as a sunken baptismal font, cruciform with rounded sides, like a tretrafoil; the access stairs were on the E side; it was finished with whitewash and fragments of crushed ceramic materials; the bottom surface of the well is hemispherical; drainage was through a large hole in one of the arms of the cruciform shape. There are actually two fonts on the site, aligned east-west; one is of the longer rectangular sunken type, with a round central part, four steps on each side (east and west); the second font is [now?] semi-raised above ground, cruciform both inside and out. Noted and illustrated in Khatchatrian (1982).
