Described and illustrated in Palol (1967), who suggests that this font belongs to a later period of the church; he gives a date of the 6th century for the monolithic cylindrical font; it was located in one of the side rooms at the head of the church; the inner well is cruciform [i.e., quatrefoil]. Noted and illustrated in Khatchatrian (1982) with date in the 6th century, with references to Palol. Some other sources have dated the font to the original church itself, the 5th century.
