There is an entry for this Exton [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SS9233/exton/] [accessed 4 July 2018] but it mentions neither priest nor church in it. Cox & Harvey (1907) list a baptismal font of the Perpendicular period here. Described in Pevsner (1958): "Octagonal, Perp[endicular], with leaves, etc., in quatrefoils." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SS9258433706] [accessed 4 July 2018] reports a Perpendicular font in this church. The basin sides are decorated with varied floral motifs inscribed in quatrefoils; the underbowl of the basin has blank shields on it. The wooden cover is in the shape of a truncated octagonal pyramid.
