Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Early English period. Noted in the National Monuments Record, English Heritage [http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=268038] [accessed 10 September 2009]: "circular Early English font under tower". The font consists of a cylindrical basin plain but for a moulding at the lower sides, raised on a cylindrical stem with a single moulding, and a round moulded lower base. There is considerable damage to the sides of the basin and stem. The quadrangular plinth is modern. The wooden cover is round and flat, with metal decoration; appears modern.
