Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Early English period. Not mentioned in Pevsner (1958). The Exmoor Nattional Park web site [http://www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk/index/learning_about/living_in_communities/churches/cutcombe-churches.htm] [accessed 18 September 2009], however, notes: "The oldest part of the church is the Purbeck marble Norman font. Unfortunately only the base is original as the Victorians added an italian bowl."
