The Handbook for travellers… (1869) mentions a font of the Norman period here. Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) and in Wade & Wade (1929) as a baptismal font of the Norman period. Not mentioned in Pevsner (1958). The entry for this parish in the Victoria County History (Somerset, vol. 4, 1978) notes: "About 1186–8 Alan de Furneaux, with the consent of his son Geoffrey, granted the church of Cudworth and the chapel of Knowle St. Giles to Wells cathedral [...] The oldest features are the 12th-century north doorway and a small roundheaded window set low down in the east wall of the of the nave [...] The church furnishings include a large early13th-century font with dog-tooth and cable mouldings".
