Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Decorated period. Newman & Pevsner (2006) note a font of 1894 by Thomas Earp: "Octagonal, with standing figures under shafted canpies, on a shafted base. Tall timber pinnacled cover, 1911, by J. Phillips." The MyAncestry web site [http://myancestry.org] [accessed 19 April 2009] notes that the church was remodeled in 1835 and that the present font was made in 1894 [NB: we have no information on the font listed in Cox & Harvey]
