Baptismal font probably of the 16th or 17th century, in the Renaissance style. The basin is quasi hemispheric, its sides ornamented with an upper roll moulding under which runs a band of foliated motif and a simple crenellation; the rest of the basin side and the underbowl are covered in diagonally arranged ribbed pattern; a protruding garland held by four (?) naked figures surrounds the basin towards its middle; the underbowl has angel heads below those figures; the base is a square pedestal with arches on the upper half and cartouche motif on the lower; towards the bottom it splays out with two mouldings. [NB: the church dates back to the late 12th century, but we have no information on the earlier font -- Garcia Gomez (2007) mentions a font from San Nicolias de Soria 'emplazada en San Juan de Rabanera, decorated with arches that have beaded-tape motif on them, but it cannot be this font -- is there a second, earlier font in this church?]
