Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?-) and in Domeño (1992): medieval baptismal font; the basin is between hemispheric and conical, of a shape not uncommon in Navarra [e.g.: Ezcároz, Irure, Javier, etc.]; two horizontal roll mouldings on the upper basin side, the lower serving as boundary for the vertical mouldings that divide the underbowl in segments, each with a ball motif in the upper end; the stem of the base is cylindrical with a roll moulding towards its middle; round lower base. There is a rounded hole with a lock for the cover on the upper side of the basin; the cover itself is wooden and sort of conical but almost flat, probably modern. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Navarra (2008), which notes a number of Romanesque basins of similar shape in Adoain, Aristu, Elcoaz, Jacoisti, Ayechu, Ongoz. Irurozqui, Arangozqui and Zabalza, in the same valley, and Azparren, Equiza, Uli Alto, Meoz and Igal in nearby areas. [NB: the holy-water stoup by the door is dated 1775 and therefore not included in this Index, but an earlier one discovered in the churchyard is listed in this Index as Igal No. 2]
