Described in García Guinea (1998: 3) as a small rectangular font, carved on the ground of a room adjacent to the 9th-century rupestrian chapel of San Miguel de Bricia. In an adjacent compartment known locally as Cueva de la Vieja, there are actually two quadrangular depressions excavated in the ground [cf. ImagesArea], to which the above entry may refer; they appear to be roughly rectangular. There are none of the elements at times associated with early baptisteries or sunken fonts [steps down, drain or feed-in channels for water, etc., nor are there any decorations or symbols present in some early fonts.
