No individual entry found for Billingsley in the Domesday survey. Cox & Harvey (1907) report a baptismal font of the Norman period in this church. Noted in Newman & Pevsner (2006): "Font. Norman, simple, circular." The entry for this church in Historic England [English Heritage Legacy ID: 254337] notes: "The c. C12 font has a large plain bowl with a square section moulding above the later stem." The entry for this church in the CRSBI (2018) notes: "Tub-shape with squat bowl. The stem is modern but the base could be medieval. There are chisel marks on the surface of the round inner bowl."
