This is a very odd-looking object, now being used as a wall-mounted stoup in the "Silo de Carlomagno" a building in the grounds of the Colegiata de Roncesvalles. It is a quadrangular, box-like object with an upper opening for the holy water; the sides are ornamented with chequered and reticular patterns; the two front upper corners have crudely-carved heads. Origin unknown. [Our gratitude to Montserrat Estela for bringing this item to our attention and for the image provided]
