Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Perpendicular period. Noted in Newman (1980): "Font. This is a genuine Late Perp[endicular] piece. The usual thing: octagonal, concave-sided bowl, with fleurs-de-lys, Tudor roses, and a flower." The panels of the basin sides are illustrated in an unfolded plan: 1)blank; 2)flower, square; 3)shield with Latin cross emblem; 4)flower, Tudor rose; 5)shield with Latin cross emblem; 6)fleur-de-lis; 7)shield. emblem unidentified; 8)flower, pentagonal.
