Noted in García Gómez (2007) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period, the base decorated with motifs repeating some of those found on the basin sides: a potent cross, foliage, etc. Noted and illustrated in the municipality website [http://www.riosecodesoria.es/index.php/mod.pags/mem.detalle/id.37/relcategoria.1008/relmenu.39] [accessed 4 December 2009]: ["La Pila Bautismal presenta un basamento circular, sobre el que apoya un extraño pie de 43 cm. de altura decorado con una especie de pitones en las esquinas y entre ellos unas cruces patadas inscritas en círculos. A continuación, una moldura cilíndrica con doble fila de dentado da paso a una copa (86x54 cm.) decorada en su mitad inferior con gallones y en la superior con diversos motivos geométricos y vegetales (medallones que albergan cruces patadas y hexapétalas, semicírculos afrontados, bandas dentadas, aspas, hojas, etc.). La técnica en muy elemental, con una talla plana que se limita al vaciado de la líneas que forman los motivos dejando un relieve poco pronunciado de clara evocación prerrománica. Pese a ello, el resultado final es de un atractivo diseño que no encuentra paralelos cercanos en el románico de la provincia, la cronología de la pila bautismal es de finales del siglo XII."
