Described by Rodríguez Montañés in Soria románica (2000) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period decorated with a scene of dogs chasing/hunting deer. Described and illustrated in Almazán de Gracia (2003). Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del Románico en Castilla y León. Soria, vol. 3. Noted in García Gómez (2007) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period, one of several decorated with an arcade below a vine populated with zoomachia or hunting scenes; some (Matanza de Soria, Vadillo and Zayuelas de Soria), are rather crude; others, like Cantalucia and Torreblacos, have flatter but more sophisticated carvings. The font consists of a tub-shaped basin, the sides decorated with [nine?] round [horseshoe?] arches on single columns, the arch-head with beaded motif; between the arcade and the moulded rim is a band that includes a deer being chased/hunted by dogs; the tails of the dogs become flowing acanthus vines that complete the rest of the decoration of the upper basin surface; short round pedestal base; circular plinth. The wooden cover is plain, flat and round; very crude and possibly modern; there is one metal staple in the rim of the basin.
