Described and illustrated in Reyes-Valerio (2000: 412) as a holy-water stoup of the 16th century; the basin is cylindrical with profuse ornamentation: a row of ball motif at the upper basin side; bands of foliage motif divede the sides into rectangular compartments, each with a large motif, including the Franciscan arms and the "chalchihuites", or jade roundels, used as symbols of the Passion to represent the wounds of Christ.
