Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Norman period [NB: C&H list it under Hertfordshire; no "East Stoke" found in Herts.; Notts. has one]. Not mentioned in Pevsner & Williamson (1979). Cox' later work of 1912 mentions only a modern font in this church.
