Font Notes:
Described by Huerta Huerta (2001) as as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period ornamented with a blind arcade of intersecting arches, a common ornamental motif in fonts of this area. Noted in García Gómez (2007) as a Romanesque font kept in precarious surroundings, and partly built into the wall; it is, like the font at Estepa de Tera, bucket-shaped and decorated with a vine and an arcade of intersecting round arches below. Listed and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/soria_VALDEGEÑA.pdf] [accessed 12 May 2025]: "A los pies de la nave se conserva una pila bautismal románica formada por un doble basamento circular de sillería sobre el que apoya una copa troncocónica (98 cm
de diámetro × 76 cm de altura) decorada con roleos y arcos entrecruzados, como las de Cubo y Cuéllar de la Sierra."
