Noted in García Gómez (2007) as one of group of Romanesque fonts in Soria province kept in very poor conditions and in danger of total destruction; this particular one is serving as a planter outside. Reported by José Manuel Rodríguez Montañés in his "Edificios románicos amenazados o en ruinas en Castilla y León" [web.jet.es/cer/ruinas.htm] as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period now [ca. 2000] being used as a planter in the village street [NB: an image is shown -not known whether or not it corresponds to this font- showing a plain, well-executed tub-shaped basin ornamented with roll moulding at the upper rim; the base is round at the neck/top and square with know or ball motifs at the lower end - it has a small tree planted in it]. The object is noted and illustrated -in its re-purposed function as planter- in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/soria_CARDEJÓN_DEL_CAMPO.pdf] [accessed 12 May 2025], but this source is uncertain about whether it came from this church or from the nearby abandoned hamlet of Villares: "Nada medieval resta en su iglesia parroquial de Nuestra Señora la Blanca aunque, en la plaza ajardinada que se abre ante ella, encontramos una pila bautismal de probable traza románica, hoy destinada a macetero. Su copa es troncocónica y lisa, de aproximadamente 125 cm de diámetro por 64 cm de altura, y está labrada en un bloque de caliza en el que creemos identificar las características marcas de labra a hacha. Nada sabemos del origen de esta pila, que podría proceder de la iglesia de Cardejón, o bien de la desaparecida del despoblado de Villares, sito unos 1.700 m al noreste del pueblo."
