Described by Huerta Huerta in Soria románica (2001) as as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period ornamented with a blind arcade of intersecting arches, a common ornamental motif in fonts of this area. The municipality website [http://www.ausejodelasierra.es/index.php/mod.pags/mem.detalle/id.71/relcategoria.1027/relmenu.202] [accessed 4 December 2009] describes the font as bucket-shaped, raised on a circular lower base; the basin is decorated with intersecting round arches below a vine all around.
