Described by Huerta Huerta in Soria románica (2001) as as a baptismal font of a common type in this area; he cites one at Calatañazor, one at the Burgo de Osma cathedral cloister and another in Cantalucía, as well as the holy-water stoup at Nódalo. García Gómez (2007) notes a series of fonts in the area that share a common charateristic in their decoration, round arch-heads with fitting ribs inside (fonts at Blacos, Garray, Muriel de la Fuente, San Esteban de Gormaz and Zayuelas de Soria) [cf. Index entry for Burgo de Osma No. 2 and the other names cited]
