García Gómez (2007) notes that the font at Calatañazor served as the model for the fonts at Nafría la Llana, La Barbolla, La Cuenca, Torreblanco, etc, all in Soria province.. Noted and illustrated in García Omedes [http://www.arquivoltas.com/13-Soria/01-Nafria3.htm] [accessed 18 April 2010]: a hemispherical basin now resting directly on the ground; the upper rim has a marked groove on its upper surface, and a roll moulding, with an acanthus vine all around below; a band of chequered pattern separates the vine from a concave ribbed pattern the tops of which are actually foliage motifs. The font appears not to be used for baptisms any longer. [cf. Index entry for Nafria la Llana No. 2 for a medieval(?) stoup also in this church]
