There is an entry for Romsey abbey [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SU3521/romsey/] [accessed 11 September 2018]; it does not mention a church in it but there was one there. Cox & Harvey (1907) list a baptismal font of the Decorated period here. This is probably the same font reported as modern in the Victoria County History (Hampshire, vol. 4, 1911): "modern font of 13th-century design". [cf. Index entry for Romsey No. 1 for a possibly disappeared Tournai font from this abbey church]
