Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907: 199) as a noteworthy baptismal font of the Perpendicular period. ***[NB: one LONGTON identified is near Stoke-on-Trent; it has a Peprendicular-style church and font, both 19th-century -- Another LONGTON, in Lancashire, had an early chapel with a priest identified by 1150 [cf. Index entry for Longton, Lancs ]***
