Noted and illustrated in the 3rd ed. of Hutchins (1973 c1861-1874): "The font [...] is of good Perpendicular character; the octagonal bowl has a quatrefoil and shield in the centre of each face. The shaft is panelled." Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Perpendicular period. The Historic Churches Preservation Trust notes that "there is a beautifully carved octagonal" [source: 'Recent Grants' issue of the Grants Cttee.
