Described in Lysons (1806-1822) as an octagonal baptismal font ornamented "with carved panels and shields on the sides, and supported upon a base fancifully ornamented with tracery and small pillars." Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907: 196) as a baptismal font of the Perpendicular period.
