Fragments of a baptismal font -probably of the 12th century- existed at St. Olave's Well, in the parish of Offham, near Lewes, on Allington farm; these fragments, as well as other stones of a 12th-century (?) chapel, were dug out and used by the then [ca. 1950?] owner in the composition of the concrete for the new bull pen he was building.
