Harrison (1920) writes in his entry for this church: "Saxon work may be seen in the nave and N[orth] and S[outh] doors ; the round arch in
chancel and part of tower are Nor[man] [...] Font, Perp[endicular]". Described in Whiteman (1994): "The Perpendicular octagonal font has quatrefoil carving on the bowl". The stem, also octagonal has several trefoiled arches on its sides. The wooden font cover is round and flat, with metal decoration and ring handle; it appears modern. [NB: we have no information on the font from the earlier church here].
