Noted in Hussey (1852): "The font is a heavy circular basin resting on four shafts, in addition to the main stem, coeval with the building." Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Early English period. Ditto in Harrison (1920) dated to the 13th century.
