Described and illustrated in Hein (1966). On-site notes: baptismal font consisting of a round basin of vertical sides and a rounded underbowl narrowing to a centre ring decorated with a rope moulding; the basin sides are decorated with a large acanthus vine all around, between the braided upper rim and a thin double moulding about 2/3 down; the lower side and underbowl are decorated with a smaller version of the vine; the upper surface of the rim has a braid all around; raised on a round-to-square base decorated with a rope moulding at the neck, and rope mouldings also framing the panels of the sides; the sides themselves contain 1)west side: a double arch with a total of seven heads that appear to be either demonic or, more likely, feline, perhaps lions; 2)south side: a plant; 3)east side: Agnus Dei with cross, and a plant; 4)north side: E-shaped plant. It is not certain that the present sides follow the original orientation; the font is now located in the chancel, obviously not its original location. The font was painted, much of the paint still left on it. There is no cover, nor are there any traces of cover hardware on the basin. There appears to have been a centre drain hole in the basin, but it is now blocked.
